Orange

After 3 days of driving, we finally made it to our destination.

We have been spending our holidays with my cousin and her beautiful family and discovering their new town.

We were welcomed with the usual hospitality.

On our first day, we spent five relaxing hours at the beautiful, beautiful, Cook Park. My cousin had packed a picnic lunch of ham and salad rolls, cordial, lemon syrup cake and tea for the mums and home-baked cookies for the kids. (you can find both of the recipes here)

Our spring weather has been the same as a Queensland winter, except on this day, a few days ago. It was 11 degrees when this photo was taken. The temperature never gets this low during the day were we live. We loved it.

There will be heaps more photos of our travels over the following days, as I will be joining in with Blogtoberfest again this year.

I hope I don't bore you, there will be lots of photos of bare trees and new blooms to come. The climate and landscape are so different, to where we live, that I'll admit to going a little bit blossom crazy.

Go here, to see who else will be blogging daily for Blogtoberfest.

  1. I just returned from a walk through Moulder Park and Cook Park. It'a amazing how quickly the scenery changes- the blossom is slowly being replaced by green.
Enjoy your time here in beautiful Orange.
